Our client is looking for an assistant property manager who has some experience of managing residential blocks, maybe you have been supporting a senior property manager with their portfolio while looking after a small portfolio of your own, and would like to step-up to a full property manager role with a company that focusses on delivering a high-level service. This could suit an enthusiastic assistant property manager with 2+ years’ relevant experience (ideally studying for their AIRPM) who would like working at a professional property management company with a super block management team.
The head of property management is on hand to guide you and help fill any gaps in your knowledge while you’re working as a block manager involved with a small portfolio of high-quality residential blocks. Practically all their clients are in Central London (in the West End, Kensington and Victoria) so you’ll gain exposure to a wide range of property styles … but remembering that the delivery of a high-quality service is paramount.
You’ll want to be a self-starter with drive and enthusiasm, a can-do attitude and able to work independently while using your initiative and looking to be an important member of this progressive property management team. As assistant property manager with a portfolio you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of a small but growing portfolio of leasehold properties including:
- Responsibility for a portfolio of London residential blocks
- Carrying out regular site visits and inspections
- Dealing with planned and reactive maintenance issues
- Liaising with and instructing contractors
- Ensuring properties meet health & safety standards including acting on risk assessments
- Involvement with service charge budgets
- Dealing with leaseholder queries and developing ongoing strong relationships
