Major landlord with a large portfolio of commercial assets is looking for a Billings Team Leader / Accounts Receivable Team Leader to lead the busy Billing Services team. You will lead this busy, friendly team to manage all billings related activities. This team are responsible for all property lease and tenant related data and deliver a best-in-class billings experience for their occupiers. Looking after a small team of Billings and Energy Administrators you will play an active role whilst supporting the team in the:

 

  • Opening of new customer accounts - Entering new tenant details on to the system including all relevant lease obligations
  • Liaising with tenants as required, providing a best-in-class customer experience
  • Issuing standard monthly and quarterly invoices as well as sundry invoices for ad-hoc services
  • Raising of credits / refunds as required
  • Posting payments, accurate and fast posting of tenant receipts
  • Managing the direct debit process and all BACS related communication
  • Cross charging and recharging of energy costs, whilst managing supplier relationships and managing billing queries.
  • Daily banking
  • Statement reconciliation - investigation and resolution of unidentified receipts
  • Closing of customer accounts and production of all exit invoices and associated documentation

 

In addition to the above, as Billings Team Leader you will be:

  • Managing workflow within the team
  • The escalation point within the team
  • Responsible for team training and development
  • Responsible for ensuring all data is accurate and that deadlines are being met
  • Looking at procedures and best practice from an operational point of view
  • Producing reports on a monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc basis for various stakeholder teams

 

The successful Sales Ledger Team Leader / Billings Team Leader will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, including leading a small team. You will be a confident user of MS Office and be able to use VLookUp in Excel. You are very likely to have experience using ECS / Qube or another property industry database.

You will build relationships with all relevant teams and stakeholders and lead your team to deliver a best-in-class billings service. Strong and clear verbal and written communication skills are absolutely essential as are great organisational skills, a logical and methodical approach and a can-do attitude.
