This role requires you to be on call (emergencies only) one week in three on a rota basis.
The Candidate - Technical requirements:
- The successful Facilities Supervisor is likely to have an industry relevant degree in an Engineering, Mechanical or Maintenance field.
- You will have worked within a facilities related environment as an Engineer and have a knowledge of plant and technical equipment
- You will be as a minimum IOSH qualified, NEBOSH is highly advantageous.
- 5 years experience in a similar role and be able to demonstrate a good understanding of electrical, mechanical and technical building aspects.
- Technical qualifications including PASMA, IPAF, L8, Asbestos and Confined Spaces are advantageous
- Knowledge of BMS systems
- Knowledge of gas safety legislation and procedures.
- Any experience of a technical environment, particularly laboratories is a bonus!

The Role:
- This role requires you to be on call one week in three on a rota basis.
We are looking for a first class Facilities Supervisor, ideally with experience across a variety of disciplines - particularly hard services. The successful candidate will supervise a team of Maintenance Engineers and manage reactive maintenance, PPM and projects. You will have worked in a corporate environment delivering a quality FM service, it could be you have worked for a service provider or client side, managing a mentoring a team and being an on hand escalation point for any problems / issues that arise. Any experience working in a technical environment particularly laboratories would be highly advantageous although not essential. A working knowledge of HVAC is essential.
You will be responsible for:
- Reactive maintenance and PPM
- Development of the PPM and plant lifecycle program
- H&S and statutory compliance
- Managing a multi-discipline team of onsite technicians / engineers
- Document management of all related certification
- Project management including new installations and upgrades
- Third party contractor management including RAMS, Work permits, inductions etc
- Procurement
- Management and coordination of emergency and disaster recovery plans
