Lively and well established property company in Central London who deal with Residential and Commercial Property Management are looking for a Junior Level Service Charge Accountant to join their team. You will work closely with a Senior member of the accounts team and assist in the management of a substantial residential block portfolio. In time the successful service charge accountant will take on more responsibility building up their own dedicated portfolio. This is an office-based junior level service charge accountant role using Qube.
- Working with the associated Property Managers the successful junior level service charge accountant will assist in the management of a portfolio of residential block service charge accounts.
- Be a point of contact for leaseholders for all things service charge related
- Preparing service charge accounts and budgets - Involvement in the setting, management and reconciliation of service charge budgets
- Day to day use of Qube
The successful Service Charge Accountant will have:
- A minimum of one years’ experience in property accounts, maybe as an accounts assistant or ledger clerk
- Experience using Qube
- An understanding of RICS service charge code and legislation around long leaseholders (Landlord & Tenant Act)
- A methodical approach to their work
- Flexibility to support the wider team as required.
