We’re currently recruiting for a smaller boutique property management company in North London where you’ll be handling a smaller portfolio than you might find at other block management companies. Your portfolio will be mostly in North London, Hertfordshire and close by and cover a wide range of properties including some small/medium purpose built, some beautiful Victorian conversions and a few larger residential buildings.

We are looking for someone with at least 2-3 years’ experience of managing their own block management portfolio so you can be responsible for the smooth running of a portfolio of residential buildings including maintenance, repairs and service contracts, fostering strong relationships with leaseholders and residents, addressing their needs promptly and professionally and have experience working with budgets and overseeing expenditure to ensure cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial goals.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Looking after a portfolio of north London / Hertfordshire residential blocks
  • Maintenance of the communal areas
  • Liaising with contractors regarding maintenance and major works
  • Site visits to ensure buildings are in good order
  • Maintaining health and safety regulations and legislation
  • Knowledge of service charge budgets and managing expenditure
  • Ability to work closely with clients and deliver what you say you will

 

Skills required:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience of residential block property management
  • Understanding of residential block leasehold management
  • Strong organisational, communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle challenges with a proactive and solution-orientated approach
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
  • Good experience of section 20 process and major works
  • Ideally IRPM or working towards accreditation, preferred but not essential
  • Understanding of health and safety and fire regulation compliance
  • Ability to work independently while being a team player
  • Car driver with clean licence
