Commercial Director (with a sales background), to take control of a multi-disciplinary business with divisions covering FMCG and medical supplies. Reporting to the Group Board in Croydon, the Commercial Director will be responsible for sales & product strategy across the group firms and manage the teams of sales & buying staff as well as the franchisee operations.
Commercial Director (sales background):
- Develop and implement strategies in line with company goals and objectives, with the aim to accelerate growth.
- Managing existing client relationships to understand their requirements and ensure their needs are met.
- Design and implement new sales and customer acquisition strategies.
- Review and streamline processes within the business to ensure we meet client expectations and increase efficiency
- Take ownership of contracts with customers and suppliers to ensure these are in place and comply with group requirements
- Monitoring performance of commercial activities using key metrics and reporting to senior management.
- Assisting with setting, managing and monitoring financial targets and budget development.
- Ensure product ranges are streamlined, meet the needs of customers and are profitable
- Build an integrated sales network using the franchisees and telesales as an anchor to create a sales force which can sell across all products within the division
- Implement activities to promote customer retention
- Complete the transition from rep based sales to a combination franchisees, agents and telesales
- Develop new national accounts businesses for all companies
- Generate organic growth within existing national accounts
- Drive integration of sales and products between companies
- Develop a sales strategy to implement the above
- Identify and develop new products including upscale / own brand opportunities
- Provide regular updates to main board
